Director of Operations – Affordable

The Company is a very well-established multifamily property management, investment, and real estate development company, specializing in both market rate and affordable housing. The Company is vertically integrated and is one of Cleveland’s largest third-party management firms. The property management team has excelled at developing strong and reliable relationships with owners, partners, and employees, enabling its continued growth and success.

The Director of Operations – Affordable will oversee the Company’s affordable housing operations and report to the COO. This important role will provide strategic and operational leadership, with responsibility for property performance, regulatory compliance, staff leadership, and client service. As a member of the Executive Team, this individual will lead the Regional Management and Compliance teams, drive financial and operational performance, and ensure consistent execution of company policies and portfolio business plans.

This position serves as a key partner to the CEO and other senior leaders in strengthening the operating platform and supporting the continued growth of the Company’s affordable housing business.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Asset Management

• Develop, establish, and communicate a general periodic schedule for property visits.
• Communicate format and standard expectations for periodic property visits and meetings with appropriate team members – primarily Regional Managers and Facilities Managers.
• Provide clear direction and communications to Regional Managers and Facilities Managers with respect to performance against Strategic Business Plan goals.
• Supervise and lead operational and facilities staff to identify any operational deficiencies or issues and establish goals and time frames for remediation.
• Manage the security accounts across the Affordable portfolio, conduct risk assessment, and handle all security matters.
• Notify CEO and asset ownership of any key operational issues as appropriate.

Financial Performance & Operational Initiatives
