Senior Manager of Payroll

As a senior manager payroll on the Corporate HR Systems and Control team, you’ll set the strategy and oversee the management of the payroll, payroll tax, and related processes for Progressive's entire employee base. You’ll ensure that Payroll Managers and their teams have a broad understanding of Progressive's payroll strategy, visibility into the interactions between payroll-related processes, understanding of the systems and vendors that support those processes, and the regulations that govern them.

You’ll leverage operational reporting, audits, and process reviews to confirm that the preparation, documentation, disbursements and wage reporting of all wage and salary distributions is accurate and follows all federal, state and local mandated regulations. Additionally, you’ll maintain effective working relationships with internal and external partners, and maintain visibility to emerging best practices, systems, and solutions that support payroll activities.

You’ll be responsible for employment decisions, performance management, compensation and reward planning, employee development and monitoring of department budget.

This is a hybrid role, requiring work from our headquarters in Mayfield Village, OH.

• A minimum of 10 years payroll experience, with at least 4 years leadership experience (e.g., directly managing or mentoring/coaching).
• {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management and a minimum of 7 years payroll experience, with at least 4 years leadership experience (e.g., directly managing or mentoring/coaching).

• Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing other leaders, developing organizational objectives and advancing staff capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of Workday payroll functionality or other enterprise class payroll systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through change.

• $102,800 - $191,000/year depending on position level and experience
• Gainshare bonus up to 40% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
