Overview

Heavy Equipment Operator position at Levy Gallatin Mill Services in Ghent, KY. The Heavy Equipment Operators perform all functions as it pertains to operating heavy off-road mobile equipment.

• Operate various heavy mobile equipment such as water trucks, 988K front end loaders, excavators, 777 haul trucks, D8/9 dozers, pot haulers, and Sennebogen cranes
• Comply with safety regulations, policies, and record-keeping
• Load materials in designated areas
• Maintain work area to ensure safe movement and access
• Monitor changes in machine performance to identify potential malfunctions and report to the maintenance department
• Perform daily machine inspections and routine greasing, oiling, and fueling
• Meet customer service expectations

• Experience operating end loaders, excavators, dozers, and other specialized mobile equipment
• Team and safety-oriented mentality
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of bulk materials
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to perform other duties as assigned
• High school diploma or equivalent

Pay: $20-$30/hr; plus $2/hr shift differential on nights

Shift: Rotating schedule - 4 on/4 off; 12-hour shifts (days, afternoons, nights)
