About the Role:

The NSI P2 Weld Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the structural integrity and quality of welded components at NSI Plant
2. This position involves performing various welding techniques to fabricate and repair metal structures, contributing to the overall production process. The technician will be responsible for adhering to safety standards and quality control measures, ensuring that all welds meet industry specifications. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with engineers and other technicians to troubleshoot and resolve any welding-related issues. Ultimately, the success of this position directly impacts the efficiency and reliability of our manufacturing operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in welding from an accredited institution.
• Proven experience in welding, with a minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with robotic welding systems.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading and welding symbols.
• Additional certifications in specialized welding techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques on various materials.
• Inspect and assess welds for quality and compliance with specifications, making adjustments as necessary.
• Maintain and operate welding equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and reporting any malfunctions.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and implement welding procedures and best practices.
• Document welding processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.
