, has an exciting opportunity. We are looking for a Feed Mill Operator (Bowling Green, KY).
The Feed Mill Operator is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing of complete pig feed for four Kentucky farms. This role ensures feed safety, biosecurity, regulatory compliance, and inventory accuracy while supporting the nutrition and production teams. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, adherence to SOPs, and commitment to maintaining a bio secure environment.
This position is on-site to report 5 days per week at the Mill in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
The hourly wage range for this position is $24.50 - $32.50 USD. Genus considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience education/training, and key skills.
You Will- Manufacture high-quality feed for four Kentucky farms following established feed production procedures.
- Ensure strict adherence to all feed biosecurity protocols to protect herd health.
- Maintain and update Feed Manufacturing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure full compliance with FDA regulations related to the Ever Thrive PRP program.
- Conduct on-site analytical testing to ensure quality assurance standards.
- Collect and submit feed samples to an independent third-party laboratory for nutrient analysis.
- Manage ingredient and finished-feed inventory using a First-In-First-Out (FIFO) methodology.
- Coordinate with the nutrition team to ensure all formulas used in production are current and accurate.
- Assist in purchasing and receiving micro ingredients to support continuous feed manufacturing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and biosecure work environment.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report mechanical or process issues promptly.
- Complete additional tasks outside daily responsibilities as assigned.
- Experience in feed manufacturing, grain handling, or agricultural production.
- Understanding of feed safety, biosecurity principles, and safe equipment operation.
- Ability to follow detailed SOPs and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Working knowledge of inventory control practices (preferably FIFO).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
