Cannon Automotive Solutions, a division Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for a Tooling Technician in our Bowling Green, Kentucky Stamping Facility. The Tooling Technician is responsible for ensuring tooling meets process expectations. The ideal candidate will have good manual dexterity, be detail-oriented and self‑motivated, and thrive in a fast‑paced work environment. Summaryof Responsibilities
- Compute dimensions and tolerances to set up machine tools
- Position, secure, measure and work metal stock or castings to lay out for machining
- Assemble/disassemble parts to test completed tools, dies, jigs or fixtures for proper operation
- Directly work with suppliers to print, design, or build situations to ensure tool expectations are met
- Analyze manufacturing repairs and adjustments to formulate solutions in standardized situations
- Other duties as assigned
- 5 years of related work experience
- Trade certification
- Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to understand and effectively communicate oral and written instructions
- Ability to stand for long periods of time/ lift 23 kg (50 lbs)
- 5 years of related experience working in a manufacturing environment
