Position SummaryUnder the direction of the Team Lead, the incumbent is responsible for building windshields that are free from defects and adhere to expected quality specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities- Runs power/air tools and utilizes drivers/mallets on a precision basis to build window systems.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Identifies mechanical and/or quality problems and reports them to the appropriate department.
- Performs all job functions adhering to established safety standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and communicate orally and in writing.
- Basic mathematics skills and ability to accurately read measuring devices such as tape measure and calipers.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading with the ability to identify reference marks and ensure parts conform to specifications.
- Knowledge of part numbers as indicated in blueprints.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds, twenty‑five (25) to thirty (30) times per day.
- Ability to work with a variety of tools.
The work is performed in a typical, comfortable, well‑lit production environment. It requires frequent heavy lifting, repeated twisting of parts, and decision making to ensure parts fit. Agility and stamina are necessary to perform tasks.
HoursMonday‑Thursday; 5:00am‑3:00pm
Physical EffortPhysical effort includes frequent heavy lifting and repetitive twisting of parts. Work requires agility and stamina.
