Machine Operator - Assembly (ADBA Tech I)

We are looking for a Machine Operator to assemble new and/or replacement parts using intermediate machines and equipment. The role requires assembling functional units or complex subassemblies from work instructions.
Position SummaryAssemble new and/or replacement parts by operating intermediate machines and equipment. Must be able to assemble complete functional units or complex subassemblies from work instructions.
Essential Duties- Follows written and/or verbal instructions from supervisors.
- Set up and perform hand and automatic assembly operations for the assembly and repair of components, sub-assemblies, or assemblies at one or multiple stations.
- Interpret first piece print or production ticket.
- Set up assembly equipment by adjusting tools, controls, and other devices according to procedures and standards.
- Perform all required inspections and document on inspection log sheets per the SWI.
- Operate equipment to highest production and quality standards.
- Make necessary adjustments and replace tools or parts as required.
- Use hand tools and gauges appropriate to the work performed.
- Support the training process of new employees.
- Maintain equipment and report malfunctions and safety issues to supervisor or maintenance as soon as possible.
- Transport material as required using proper handling methods.
- Keep work area in orderly condition with respect to materials, tools, equipment, and personal belongings (includes cleaning of equipment, floors, tables, etc.).
- Verify own work is in compliance with requirements and correct errors in own work.
- Repaint or touch-up components or assemblies.
- Set up and operate greasing equipment to grease components, sub-assemblies or assemblies.
- Build containers and pack parts in accordance with packing specifications.
- Check part numbers and place them in appropriate shipping containers.
- Report recognized defective material to supervisor.
- Follow all aspects of Standardized Work Instructions.
- Understand and adhere to current health, safety, and environmental policies (ISO
14001). Identify and communicate appropriate actions for safety, health, and environmental concerns. - Understand current quality policies and procedures (IATF 16949). Identify and communicate appropriate actions for product quality.
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- Completion of high school diploma or GED.
- One year of experience in a manufacturing assembly operation environment or other heavy industrial experience.
- Experience using hand tools and production equipment appropriate to the work performed.
- Attendance on the job is essential.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to follow instructions, safety rules and regulations.
