Position Summary
The incumbent is accountable for start‐up, operation, and shutdown of spray lines and metal prep equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Additionally, the incumbent will need to make minor adjustments to equipment and solutions (titrations, viscosities), schedule workload and maintain quality records and control points of related equipment.
Responsibilities- Read, interpret, and manage manufacturing documentation (prints, routers, etc.) to ensure production of conforming products
- Set up and operate manual and automated equipment for chemical processing, media blasting, cleaning, priming, adhesive application, and related preparation activities
- Clean products as required
- Complete all paperwork and documentation to ensure quality conformance and proper product movement and control
- Verify all equipment and materials used are compliant with procedures
- Proactively improve area processes, procedures, and documentation through Kaizen activities and collaboration with area leadership and Engineering
- Ensure proper storage and disposition of hazardous waste
- Perform all required preventive maintenance activities
- Assist in preparing for and participating in all required area audits
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures
- Perform weekly preventative maintenance on equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ability to read, understand and follow written and/or verbal procedures, processes, and instructions
- Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers and management
- Ability to learn and understand company policies, procedures, applicable regulations, products and processes
- Flexible with work assignments and willing to perform any function as needed
- Dependable and available to work overtime as needed
- Reads and comprehends drawings, blueprints, and Manufacturing Work Instructions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook
- Self‑motivated; works effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- 1 year of manufacturing experience, or similar direct labor experience
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- English
