Production Associate; Assembly

Manufacture, assemble, and package Steel Ceilings products to fulfill customers’ orders as directed by the team lead and/or supervisor. Additional responsibilities include material handling, crating, and working as a machine helper.

Maintain a clean, safe working area, sweeping, opening scrap, and emptying dumpsters and trash cans. Observe all safety precautions and plant regulations to prevent injury or damage.

Upon training and qualification, perform miscellaneous duties such as machine operation (turrets, brakes, presses, panel benders, tube benders), final panel assembly, infill pad creation, crating, forklift operation, inventory counting, and assisting others.

• Follow all Company and OSHA safety policies.
• Assemble materials and package finished products for transport to customers.
• Ensure that the standards for quality, output, safety, and other metrics are adhered to and improved upon.
• Keep accurate records of production, waste, and quality checks undertaken.
• Properly maintain equipment.
• Maintain a high level of customer focus while producing quality products and services that do not sacrifice safety.

• Attend and participate in all required company training programs.
• Conform to all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, sweep floors, and empty trash containers daily.

Plant setting with extreme cold and hot temperatures; uneven walking surfaces with cords, tools and other obstacles; intermittent loud noises; dusty or dirty conditions. Basic PPE required: safety glasses, earplugs, steel‑toe/composite boots.

Regularly required to talk or hear; frequently required to stand or walk most of the workday; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently lift and move up to 20 pounds, occasionally up to 75 pounds. Vision requires close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adaptability.
