About the role
The Waste Process Technician I (WPT I) is an entry level position responsible for safely performing fundamental tasks such as off‑loading inbound trucks, waste stream QA/QC, verifying container count, manifest number, and other data for waste processing. Duties may include container sampling, recognizing non‑conforming material, processing material through shredding operations, direct loading into solidification pit, LDI, etc. The WPT I is expected to have a general mechanical understanding of waste processing equipment, specifically forklift and related attachments, hose, and valve operation.
Shifts:
1st shift 5:00 am – 3:00 pm, 2nd shift 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm, 3rd shift 10:30 pm – 6:30 am.

Responsibilities- Understand basic facility permit requirements and conduct daily activities to support safety and compliance.
- Operate equipment such as pressure washers, power tools, hand trucks, forklifts, and other tools in accordance with company policies and OSHA requirements.
- Safely operate mobile equipment within facility boundaries.
- Off‑load inbound packages, liquid trucks, and containers.
- Process inbound material using facility and mobile equipment.
- Conduct waste stream QA/QC and lab analysis associated with receiving and shipping waste and materials.
- Complete and submit all facility paperwork (receiving, piece count, material verification, manifest review, etc.) for regulatory and safety record keeping.
- General cleaning of facility and grounds.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Reworld offers GED Works – a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.
- 1+ year of experience.
- Able to pass respirator fit test.
- Ability to utilize Net Suite.
- Good judgement and problem‑solving skills.
- Attention to detail and time management.
- Ability to operate cranes, forklifts, hand trucks, and other power tools.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to kneel, crawl, stoop, bend, or twist for extended periods.
- Willingness to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
