Machine Operator 2nd Shift

Filtration Group - Finishing is a leading manufacturer and distributor of OEM and replacement air filters, paint arrestors, overspray collectors, accessories and maintenance supplies for automotive and industrial paint spray booths as well as a diverse range of commercial and industrial HVAC applications.

• Operate one or more pieces of machinery across multiple departments.
• Perform operations efficiently and safely with minimal supervision.
• Monitor production to assure quality standards are met.
• Able to train new operators.
• Shift between departments based on demand fluctuations in critical positions.
• Assist the Line Lead and Group Lead with ensuring the department follows the production schedule.
• Provide coverage in the absence of Line Leads and Group Leads for supervisory responsibilities when necessary.
• Start and stop machine at specified intervals; operate machine(s) per specifications at standard efficiency.
• Perform set-up duties and make minor equipment adjustments as agreed upon with Maintenance.
• Immediately stop malfunctioning equipment and notify supervisor or mechanic that repairs or adjustments are necessary.
• Report to supervisor any situation where the operation deviates from acceptable quality, production or safety standards.
• Monitor raw material usage and report excessive loss to the supervisor.
• Document daily production, as required.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and keep equipment cleaned at all times.
• Follow all company rules and regulations, per the Employee Handbook or department policy.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds overhead.
• Must be able to use hand tools, power tools and a high-pressure washer.
• Must be able to learn to operate machinery via PLC interface.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate in three or more departments on critical equipment.
• Knowledge of company products and procedures.
• Customer focused with a strong attention to detail.
• Able to work overtime on short notice.
• Able to reach, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, twist, squat, push and pull.
• Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
