SummaryUnder the supervision of the CNC Manager, the Welder is responsible for precise fusion of metal segments using manual or semi‑automatic welding equipment. The Welder will cut, grind, and shape metal to match engineering prints and assemble fabricated parts together in preparation for the next step in production.
Job TermsPermanent, full time position.
Responsibilities- Operate manual or semi‑automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments.
- Use power tools and hand tools to cut, grind, and shape metal.
- Assemble fabricated parts using various welding techniques, such as MIG or TIG.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of welding and soldering equipment.
- Adhere to all company and customer standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent certificate is required.
- Post‑secondary education or certification in a related field is preferred.
- 2‑5+ years of experience as a Fabricator/Welder within a manufacturing setting is considered an asset.
- Attention to detail, strong decision‑making skills using a risk‑to‑reward approach.
- Organizational and time management skills with the ability to work quickly, effectively, and multi‑task.
- A strong ability in applying best judgment and practical knowledge when addressing challenges.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, and sequence of operations.
- Ability to use basic power and hand tools.
- Ability to work overtime if needed and/or work flexible shifts.
