Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for serving as part of the Retail Slicing Support Team and assisting the Slicing Supervisor with product flow, process efficiency, scheduling, communication, documentation, and product quality. The Retail Slicing Lead will be required to maintain extensive knowledge of all areas within the Slicing Department, complete SAP and EIM training, and perform data entry when necessary. The role involves overseeing daily operations according to established standards, assisting with setup, and acting as a representative of Tyson Leadership.
The candidate must maintain and oversee all safety standards, USDA/GMP requirements, sanitation policies, and ensure product meets customer specifications. Constant communication with the Slicing Supervisor is essential.
- Perform daily production tasks as assigned to support operational needs.
- Assist with the setup and operation of production processes as directed by supervisors.
- Support scheduling, communication, and basic documentation for assigned work areas.
- Complete required SAP and EIM training and perform required data entry.
- Proficiency in reading and writing; ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and effectively communicate across all management levels.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety, sanitation, GMP, and code of conduct standards.
- Comply with USDA regulations, Tyson GMP standards and sanitation requirements.
- Adhere to all safety policies, including Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures, and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadership to support daily operations.
- Assist in maintaining product quality and meeting production standards.
- Use basic computer skills to complete required tasks and documentation.
- Support operational needs across departments as required.
- Perform job duties independently following training and within normal staffing levels.
- Work scheduled hours and demonstrate reliability and flexibility based on production demands.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
- Must not have a written warning or a suspension in the last 1 year.
- Must be in current role for 6 months (180 days) unless position a promotion.
- Must have 4 attendance points or less.

- Must be willing and able to lift up to 60 lbs
- The Team Member will stand throughout shift with some walking.
- The Team Member will use hands to handle product.
