Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
The primary function of this position is to perform facility and equipment preventive maintenance activities, troubleshoot and repair equipment, operate equipment as requested, and provide support to the manufacturing team – all in a “Jack of all Trades” capacity.
Responsibilities- Working knowledge of general mechanical and electrical fundamentals.
- Ability/desire to operate/learn drills, saws, mills, sanders, PCB and other manufacturing equipment.
- Assembly of components, sub-assemblies, products, and test equipment.
- Other duties as assigned by the Group Leader.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Knowledge in the use of digital multi-meters, various hand tools, drills, saws and other manufacturing or test equipment.
- Mechanical/Electrical experience is preferred.
- Prefer previous forklift and/or scissor lift experience.
- Physical demands: continuous use of hands through manual dexterity such as grasping, reaching, handling, feeling, typing; prolonged periods of standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, pushing, pulling; stooping; confined/restricted workspace; lifting up to 40 pounds occasionally; vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
- Work environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and other office equipment. This role may occasionally use hand tools or power tools. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. Some facility maintenance activities require working outside and/or on the roof.
This is a full-time (part-time available) position Monday through Friday with occasional overtime. Production associates can choose from 3 different start times: 6:30am, 6:45am or 7:00am with supervisor approval.
