Plant Superintendent

We are looking for a Plant Superintendent to help lead the day-to-day operations of our growing Bowling Green facility. This role is a good opportunity for someone with operations or manufacturing experience who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and improving how a facility operates.

Experience in manufacturing or Lean principles is helpful. Experience in the steel industry is a plus.

The Plant Superintendent will:

Lead daily warehouse, processing, receiving, and shipping operations.
Supervise and develop operational employees, providing direction and accountability.
Ensure material is processed accurately, efficiently, and safely.
Coordinate production schedules, staffing, and daily priorities.
Oversee receiving, customer pickups, shipments, and loading activities.
Maintain inventory accuracy and effective material flow.
Ensure equipment is properly maintained and operational issues are addressed.
Monitor operational KPIs and support continuous improvement efforts.
Monitor operational expenses and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
Work with the General Manager and office team to address customer and operational needs.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and applicable DOT requirements.

We are looking for someone with:

2-3+ years of experience in operations, manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, or a related environment.
Experience supervising or coordinating people and daily operations.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Manufacturing or Lean/continuous improvement experience is helpful.
Steel or metal industry experience is a plus.
Ability to work effectively in a hands-on industrial environment.

Work Environment & Requirements:

Ability to work around steel, material-handling equipment, and processing operations.
Ability to obtain required forklift and overhead crane certifications.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when needed.
Ability to use or learn common measurement tools such as a tape measure, calipers, micrometer, and angle finder.
Ability to work the schedule necessary to support the operation.
Required PPE includes steel-toe safety shoes, gloves, hard hat, and safety glasses.
