Position Type: Nursing Scheduler (LPN preferred)

Welcome to Maple Health and Rehab! We are currently seeking a motivated Nurse Scheduler. This role includes a unique blend of administrative and clinical responsibilities.

Position includes:

  • Three 8-hour office-based shifts focused on staff scheduling.
  • One 12-hour shift per week on the nursing floor, providing hands‑on support.
  • On‑call every Friday.
  • On‑call every 5th weekend.

This hybrid schedule allows the scheduler to stay connected with the clinical team while also supporting smooth operational flow and coverage across all shifts.

Scheduler Responsibilities and Duties
  • Schedules all nursing staff and prepares weekly nursing schedule, notifying staff of schedule changes.
  • Receives incoming calls and directs appropriately to address scheduling issues; notifies Nursing Administration when lacking appropriate staff availability or conflicts.
  • Obtains permission from the Director of Nursing/Administrator before scheduling overtime or nursing registry personnel.
  • Adjusts schedules to accommodate illness, vacation, PTO, etc.
  • Collaborates daily with Nursing Administration to ensure adequate staffing.
  • Assists nursing office with clinical management tasks as needed.
  • Assists payroll manager with processing weekly payroll and nursing hours.
