Job Title: Staff Development Nurse (Registered Nurse)

Location: Bowling Green Nursing and Rehabilitation

Position Type: Full-Time, Salaried

Schedule: Monday–Friday, Business Hours with On-Call Responsibilities

Job Summary: Bowling Green Nursing and Rehabilitation, a small skilled nursing facility located in the heart of Bowling Green, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to serve as a Staff Development Nurse. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing staff education and training programs to ensure high-quality resident care and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate orientation and ongoing education programs for nursing staff
  • Coordinate and conduct training sessions, in-services, and competency assessments
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies
  • Monitor and maintain staff licensure, certifications, and continuing education requirements
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify training needs and improve clinical performance
  • Assist with quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
  • Provide clinical support and guidance to nursing staff as needed
  • Participate in surveys, audits, and regulatory inspections
  • Maintain accurate records of training and staff development activities
  • Serve in an on-call capacity to support nursing operations as needed
Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred
  • Prior experience in staff education, training, or leadership strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and clinical practices
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
