E. Spiller Bowling Green Veterans Center is a 60‑bed long‑term care facility located in Bowling Green, Kentucky that is committed to serving Kentucky’s veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity, and providing compassionate care.

We are currently seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to work in our nursing department as a Charge Nurse for the third shift. The role involves supervising professional and ancillary employees in the administration of efficient nursing care. Applicants must have an active, unrestricted status as a Registered Nurse on the KBN licensure verification.

• Administer medications and treatments, helping to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of Veterans

• Minimum two years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing substitutes for one year of experience
• Must be licensed in Kentucky as a registered nurse or possess a valid work permit issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing
• Maintain required licensure, certification, or other credentials throughout employment Compensation
  • Base rate: $31.81 hourly
  • Locality premium: $10.62 per hour
  • Shift premium (second and third shift): 15%
  • Weekend premium: 25%
  • Holiday premium: 25%
  Work Conditions

  Incumbents work with patients, clients, or employees who may have been exposed to infectious diseases, requiring adherence to safety procedures.

  Probationary Period

  Initial and promotional probationary period of six months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
