American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring telemetry experience and current NIH Stroke certification.

• Hospital-based Telemetry unit with 36 beds
• Patient ratios of 4:1 with cath recovery, 6:1 max, occasionally stretched to 7:1
• PCTs available on day and night shifts; unit clerks on day shift
• Uses remote telemetry monitors and Alaris pumps
• Documentation completed in Meditech
• 13-week assignment with shifts scheduled 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Agency staff float first, potentially to Ortho/Med-Surg units

• Active RN license (KY or Compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry experience required
• Knowledge of chest tubes and dysrhythmia training required
• Experience with chest tube insertions, bedside paracentesis, and thoracentesis preferred
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required

• Provide telemetry monitoring and nursing care to a general telemetry patient population
• Unit strives for a 75% patient satisfaction rate
• Dress code allows any scrub color except camo
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Unit has received Daisy and Bee award certificates and holds a monthly staff-voted STAR award
