Registered Nurse - IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This role involves providing specialized patient care during night shifts, ensuring optimal outcomes for acutely ill patients.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status continuously, promptly reporting any changes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient care activities and updates accurately in electronic health records.
• Assist with procedures, including insertion of IVs, cardioversion, and other critical interventions.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of Kentucky.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an IMC, PCU, or step-down unit.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Proven ability to manage multiple critically ill patients efficiently.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
