Job Summary and QualificationsThe Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.
Utilizes therapeutic communication in daily practice.
Maintains a safe therapeutic environment.
Identifies nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient. Registered Nurse plans individualized patient care whileutilizingan interdisciplinary approach.
Participates in performance improvement activities.
Provides care and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospital’s mission and vision statement.
When acting inchargenurserole, registered nursesare responsible forday-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a therapeutic environment.
Make staff assignments based on patient need,acuityand the skill of the staff. Serve as role models and clinicalresourcefor the staff.
Respondin a timely mannertorequests for information or follow-up with physician,staffor patient issues.
What you will do in this role:
- You will assess plans and evaluate patient care needs.
- You will carry out physician orders.
- You will administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, andmonitorvital signs.
- You will serve asprimarycoordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- You will instruct and educate patients and families.
- You will provide age and culturallyappropriate care.
What qualifications you will need:
- Current licensure within the state you live in through the Board of Nursing or Compact State
- Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider.
- 1 year of RN experience
