Responsible for providing psychiatric services to clients of Life Skills, under the supervision of a Licensed Psychiatrist. Clients may be experiencing a number of mental health and addiction related symptoms, as well as physical health related symptomology. Clients may be young children, elementary aged children, teens, young adults, or adults.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide direct services including psychiatric evaluation, med management, consultation and collateral services to referred patients.
- Document all services provided in accordance with agency standards
- Participate in treatment team meetings providing supervision and feedback on pertinent cases as needed
- Complete psychiatric treatment plans for all individuals for whom you are the primary provider
- Participate in change initiatives, death by suicide reviews, and/or risk management meetings as needed and appropriate
- Administer medication as appropriate and needed
- Maintain agency expectation for productivity
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Nursing.
- Completion of all requirements to practice as an Adult/and/or Family Psychiatric and Mental Health Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner.
- Must have a collaborative agreement for prescriptive authority of controlled substances with a Licensed Psychiatrist.
- Must have a valid KY License – DEA.
- Must be able to prescribe controlled substances.
- Must be computer literate and capable of communicating through Microsoft Outlook, prescribing through computerized prescription drug programs and documenting in an EMR
- Attend meetings, conferences and other professional and organizational functions
- May perform some services via teleconferencing equipment.
- May provide on-call services to crisis unit clients and/or be part of psychiatric on-call rotation
