NDT Technician Level II

Responsibilities

• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
• Organize and report test results
• Perform specialized inspections
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned

• SNT‑TC‑1A Level II NDT certifications and documented hours in Visual Testing, Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant.
• Knowledge of solid casting defects and radiographic film interpretation is recommended.
• Inspections conducted in accordance with NAVSEA Tech Pub T9074-AS-GIB-010/271 with MIL-STD‑2035A acceptance criteria.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Shop math and print reading skills.
• Ability to distinguish colors to meet specific inspection criteria.
• Basic computer skills:
  Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Ability to learn and comply with company policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a positive attitude.
• Potentially travel for work for additional training as needed.
• Work overtime as requested.
• Strong work ethic and self‑motivation.
• Dependable.
• Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Perform visual and liquid penetrant inspections on castings.
• Review and interpret radiographic film.
