The Home Depot is seeking a Cashier to provide fast, friendly, accurate and safe service. This role processes Checkout and/or Return transactions, and monitors the Self-Checkout area. Cashiers proactively seek product knowledge to assist customers and identify selling opportunities, and follow policies and procedures to minimize shrink.
Responsibilities- Process Checkout and/or Return transactions and monitor the Self-Checkout area.
- Provide customers with fast, friendly, accurate and safe service.
- Proactively seek product knowledge to assist customers and identify selling opportunities.
- Follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink.
- Head Cashier responsibilities include expediting price checks, approving POS transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental.
- Provide first-level escalation for customer issues and assist in supervision and training of Front End Associates by participating in the training of new Cashiers and utilizing available tools to coach and develop others.
- 1+ years of Cashier experience (preferred for Head Cashier).
