Department Manager - West

Overview

Schnucks has multiple assistant department manager opportunities available, including:
Department Managers (in training), Deli Manager, Seafood Manager, Center Store Manager, Bakery Manager, Produce Manager, Customer Service Manager, and Floral Manager. All positions are customer focused and require teammates who provide friendly and courteous service.

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance
• Ensure customer satisfaction
• Act with integrity and maintain confidentiality
• Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
• Demonstrate problem solving and decision making
• Maintain cleanliness of work area, equipment, and cases, following company safety and sanitation procedures
• Ensure department standards are met
• Stock, rotate, and straighten product
• Read and understand shelf tags and signage
• Follow all opening and closing procedures within the department
• Ability to coach, develop, and inspire others to be their best; build relationships
• Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management

Training will be provided at store level.

• Bending and stooping
• Lifting up to 25–100 pounds (depending on the job)
• Standing for 8-hour shifts
• Working in cold and warm environments

• Internal candidates: Store/Facility Teammates: minimum six months employment with Schnucks. Store Support Center Teammates: minimum one year employment with Schnucks. Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline). If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.
• Internal candidates (preferred): Store/Facility Teammates: six months preferred. Store Support Center Teammates: one year preferred. Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
