The primary goal of the Technical Sales position is to increase TEKFAB’s sales revenue, by developing contacts with new prospects and converting them into customers. This person will also visiting new potential and existing customers while providing exceptional customer service.
Professionally representing TEKFAB as a World-Class organization, the associate will build new relationships with potential and existing customers by determining their needs, presenting quotations and winning (closing) sales.
1-3 years technical sales experience is preferred.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY- 1. Establishing long lasting customer relations through e-mail, phone calls, trade associations, networking and site visits to obtain inquiries and ultimately receive orders.
- 2. Responsible for following the Sales Quote process, including use of MLSA, Project Questionnaire and Costing process.
- 3. Gather & qualify the information for a quote and deliver it to engineering for evaluation and costing.
- 4. Preparation of quotes with the assistance of the engineering team and inside sales.
- 5. Maintaining a high understanding of products offered by TEKFAB and other industry leaders.
- 6. Work closely with the Sales Manager to develop cost-effective strategies to promote the brand and specific products in key markets.
- 7. Maintain knowledge of all new account activities and provide quarterly reports (or as requested) updates and summary of sales, competitive analysis and market status.
- 8. Creation of personal annual sales goals and objectives. This will be a key performance measurement.
- 9. The sales associate will be given an annual budget for sales travel.
- 10. Perform other duties as assigned.
- 1. Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time
- 2. Occasional trips to headquarters may be required
- 3. Must be able to travel interstate
- 4. Assistance at trade shows
- 6. Ability to drive the sales process from plan to closes
- 7. Requires a driver license
- 8. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
- 9. Update and maintain accounts in both “customer files” and CRM (Prophet) system
