Job Overview
Position:
Account Executive – Advanced Surgical Instruments (ASI), Med Tech Sales, Clinical Sales – Hospital/Hospital Systems (Commission).
Location:
McAllen, Texas, United States.
- Own the full range of Ethicon offerings including hemostasis, energy sealing, dissection, stapling and wound closure platforms.
- Focus on growing energy and endomechanical platforms.
- Sell surgical solutions to surgeons and hospital decision makers, primarily in operating rooms.
- Be assigned a sales territory, focusing on physicians and hospital institutions.
- Accountable to attain forecast in assigned accounts/territory and set priorities based on sales opportunities.
- Trained to understand and demonstrate proper use of products to clinicians; manage customer questions and objections consistently with product indications and sales training.
- Execute the selling cycle in a concise, professional, ethical, and compliant manner to drive results and lead customers to action.
- Conduct sales presentations using current selling methods; deliver customer education seminars as appropriate.
- Analyze data, stay updated on market information, and engage in business planning.
- Build excellent customer relations with key physicians, hospital personnel and authorized distributors.
- Comply with safe behavior standards and demonstrate product, procedure, clinical knowledge.
- Bachelor's degree.
- 3+ years of relevant business experience in medical sales (medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology) or healthcare.
- Demonstrated exceptional achievement of sales objectives.
- Valid driver's license issued in the United States.
- High sales performance and ability to target accounts and achieve results through daily action plans.
- Collaboration skills with peers, marketing, strategic account managers, external companies and KOLs.
- Strong time management and planning skills.
- Hospital-based pharmaceutical or medical device experience (operating room sales).
- Experience in product sales to highly educated/high profile customers.
- Experience developing new, innovative markets.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills; team oriented.
