Business Development Manager

Ryder System is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive outside sales growth in transportation and warehousing solutions. In this role, you will prospect and qualify new accounts, lead consultative sales cycles, and close multi-location logistics, fleet, and warehousing deals. You will analyze customer operations, develop tailored proposals and pricing, and partner with operations, engineering, and IT to design scalable solutions.

Success requires strong pipeline management, territory planning, accurate forecasting, and the ability to build C level relationships while representing Ryder's safety-first, customer-focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Prospect, qualify, and develop new transportation and warehousing accounts
• Conduct consultative discovery to understand customer logistics and fleet needs
• Develop and present tailored proposals, bids, and pricing strategies
• Lead contract negotiations and close multi-location and strategic deals
• Manage sales pipeline, territory plans, and revenue forecasts in CRMCollaborate with operations, engineering, and IT to design logistics solutions
• Coordinate smooth handoff from sales to implementation and account management
• Monitor market trends and competitor offerings to refine sales strategy
• Represent Ryder at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings
• Maintain compliance with Ryder safety, ethics, and customer service standards
