About the OpportunityARK Hospitality is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Director of Sales to lead all sales, business development, and revenue-generation efforts for an extended-stay hotel in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
This role is responsible for increasing occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and long-term room-night production through strategic account development, community engagement, proactive prospecting, and strong market presence.
The ideal candidate brings hospitality sales experience, a passion for building relationships, and the ability to create both new and recurring business opportunities.
Position SummaryThe Director of Sales is responsible for the development and execution of the property's sales strategy while working closely with hotel leadership and revenue-management partners.
This position combines strategic planning and hands-on selling and requires a highly motivated sales leader who enjoys networking, creating partnerships, growing accounts, and driving measurable revenue results.
Key Responsibilities Sales Leadership & Business Development- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy designed to drive occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and revenue growth.
- Identify and secure business across key extended-stay demand segments including:
- Corporate and business travel
- Manufacturing and industrial accounts
- Healthcare organizations
- Education and university-related travel
- Construction and project-based business
- Relocation and temporary housing providers
- Government and municipal business
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, community organizations, employers, and decision-makers.
- Generate new business through proactive sales calls, networking, property tours, community involvement, and account-development activities.
- Negotiate and manage local negotiated-rate agreements, project contracts, and long-term lodging opportunities.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline focused on long-term room-night production.
- Collaborate with hotel leadership and revenue-management teams to align pricing and sales strategies with market demand.

- Support forecasting, budgeting, and revenue-planning activities.

- Position the hotel as a preferred extended-stay lodging solution within the Bowling Green market.
- Maintain detailed account information and sales activity within CRM platforms.
- Prepare weekly sales activity reports and monthly production updates.
