Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Electrician/ Electrician Installation
Industrial Manufacturing Facility has openings for electrical maintenance personnel for the following shifts:
- 1st
Shift: Friday
- Monday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM - 2nd
Shift: Monday
- Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM - 3rd
Shift: Sunday
- Thursday, 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate causes of breakdowns and correct the problem.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with codes.
- Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
- Connect wire to motors, fixtures, and other electrical equipment; replace switches and fuses; splice and insulate wire with friction tape.
- Read and understand blueprints and 1-line drawings.
- Clean work area, tools, and equipment.
- Work will involve electrical equipment associated with building infrastructure (e.g., monthly PM checks, balers, light bulbs, switches, outlets, parking lights, sump pumps, overhead dock doors, etc.) rather than manufacturing equipment.
Must have verifiable minimum of 7 years of industrial experience or a Journeyman’s card to prove practice. A Master Electrician’s license is also permitted, and/or any similar combination of education and trade-related work experience. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
