Why is this job awesome? At D.W. Cary Hauling, no day is the same. As a full‑time diesel mechanic, you'll do preventative maintenance on different types of equipment in our large fleet, as well as minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks and trailers.

Technical Skills

• Hands‑on experience with diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, transmissions, and powertrains
• Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems, air brakes, and aftertreatment systems (DEF, DPF, EGR)
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair engine performance issues, fuel systems, cooling systems, and drive trains
• Experience working with preventive maintenance and DOT compliance standards
• Familiarity with fleet management systems and work order documentation

Certifications and Training

• ASE certifications (T-Series T2, T6, and T8)
• CDL License (preferred for test-driving heavy‑duty trucks)

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of diesel repair shop, fleet maintenance, or dealership experience
• Valid driver's license
• Provide your own tools
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Pre-employment drug test
• Pre-employment DOT physical and DOT medical card
