You will play a vital role in the foundational success of our pipeline projects by operating heavy machinery with precision and care. How You Will Make an ImpactOperate backdump and compactor equipment to move, level, and compact earth for pipeline installation.
Perform daily pre‑operation inspections to ensure all machinery is in peak working condition.
Execute precise grading and compaction tasks in accordance with project blueprints and site specifications.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent hazards and facilitate smooth site logistics.
Communicate effectively with spotters and ground crews to ensure safe equipment movement in tight areas.
Monitor equipment performance and report any maintenance needs immediately to the site foreman.
Adhere to all OSHA and company‑specific safety protocols to protect yourself and your teammates.
Required Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum of 1 year of professional experience operating backdumps, compactors, or similar heavy machinery.
Proven ability to interpret site signals and work safely in active utility construction environments.
Physical capability to climb into equipment and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Strong commitment to punctuality and a reliable work ethic to meet project deadlines.
Demonstrated understanding of basic soil compaction techniques and equipment limitations.
Preferred Qualifications & ExperiencePrevious experience specifically within utility construction or pipeline trenching projects.
Possession of a valid driver’s license for potential travel between local project sites.
Existing OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 construction safety certification.
