Controls Technician
Bowling Green/Glasgow KY area
We’re looking for an experienced Controls Technician with a strong electrical background to support automated production equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern automation systems while helping improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and overall plant performance.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled production equipment
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on automated equipment
- Work with Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, photo eyes, and three-phase motors
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Support equipment upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime
Qualifications
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance or controls experience
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience troubleshooting PLCs (Allen-Bradley preferred)
- Experience with VFDs, three-phase motors, and industrial automation
- Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Ability to read electrical schematics
- Technical degree or equivalent industrial experience preferred
