Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Install new HVAC systems and components, ensuring all work meets safety and performance standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal operation and longevity.
- Diagnose and repair HVAC system issues, including malfunctioning components, leaks, and electrical problems.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve system failures efficiently.
- Interact with customers to discuss their HVAC issues, explain repair procedures, and provide cost estimates.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor, ensuring customer satisfaction with service provided.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, including work completed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
- Provide detailed reports to supervisors and customers regarding the condition and performance of HVAC systems.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding HVAC system installation and repair.
- Stay updated on the latest HVAC technologies, techniques, and industry best practices.
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an HVAC technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Certification or licensure in HVAC (e.g., EPA Section 608 certification, NATE).
- Experience with both residential and commercial HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of energy-efficient HVAC systems and practices.
- Work may be performed in various settings, including residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
- May involve working in confined spaces, on rooftops, or in adverse weather conditions.
- Requires physical strength and flexibility to handle tools, equipment, and materials.
