Ironworker​/PEMB Erector

Job Description

Hickey Steel is a structural steel and pre-engineered metal building erector based in Bowling Green, KY. We erect structural and pre-engineered metal buildings across Kentucky and the surrounding area. We're scaling up our field crews and need experienced ironworkers who can hit the ground running. We have positions from entry-level up through foreman available.

This is field iron work: structural steel erection (beams, columns, bar-joist, deck, stairs, etc.), PEMB erection (building frames, girts/purlins, standing seam roofing, siding, insulation, etc.).

Most of our work is within a 100 mile radius of Bowling Green. We pay travel time to and from the job-site, provide hotel accommodations and meal per diem, and provide an hourly bonus for any day worked out of town. We may stay out of town through the week, but are always home on weekends.

What we require:

• Experience erecting steel and/or pre-engineered buildings
• Comfortable working at height, on roofs, and around cranes
• Reliable transportation and attendance
• Ability/willingness to work and stay out of town

What we prefer:

• Welding certificate (1g/3g SMAW)
• OSHA 10 or 30
• Equipment operators certificates
• Some shop fabrication experience

Pay: $23 - $32 - based on experience

Schedule: 40 hours per week. Some overtime is required, but kept to a minimum.
