The Shipping and Receiving Clerk acts as the primary point of contact for all incoming and outgoing drivers, completing paperwork, maintaining schedules, and ensuring all documentation is error free. The clerk verifies and keeps records on shipments, unloads received shipments, and prepares items for outgoing shipment.

• Compensation: $28.00–$32.00/hour

• Pull customer orders and prepare related shipping documents accurately and promptly.
• Prepare skids or pallets for shipping, stretch-wrap completed skids.
• Unload raw material from trucks in a timely fashion.
• Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages.
• Scan material into computer system using scan gun and load tags.
• Operate forklift or hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments.
• Compare identifying information and counts, weigh or measure items to verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Prepare and route all incoming and outgoing articles for shipment or placement in inventory following specifications.
• Determine method of shipment and schedule freight carriers for pick‑ups.
• Complete manifest paperwork for shipments.
• Coordinate with Customer Service department.
• Affix shipping labels on packed cartons.
• Picks inventory items released for shipment.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Assist in maintaining equipment for optimal operation, including adjustments and preventative maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with facility safety policies and procedures.
• Treat all associates respectfully and professionally, upholding company code of ethics.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education and experience.
• Must be able to operate forklift and pallet jack.
• Strong reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to apply common sense and follow written or oral instructions.
• Problem‑solving ability with multiple variables in standardized situations.
• Physical ability to stand, use hands/fingers, reach, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and walk frequently; lift and move up to 25 lbs regularly, up to 45 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Vision requirements: near, distance, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
