The Associate II, Warehouse Ops assists on inbound or outbound activities as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor meeting quality, safety, productivity, and operational standards. The role primarily receives products in the inbound section and ships products in the outbound section.
Responsibilities- Follow established SOPs to process orders, including accurate picking, quality control checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building and wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and preparing orders for shipment.
- Pick large case items with material handling equipment or pick small unit‑of‑measure items and place on designated cart.
- Cross‑train in multiple areas of the warehouse and participate in projects as needed.
- Utilize the Warehouse Management System to check in and/or send out products.
- Drive material handling equipment as required (order picker, forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, walkie‑rider).
- Complete housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Handle routine assignments requiring problem resolution.
- Participate in associate meetings and communicate concerns to management.
- Perform all duties in accordance with OSHA standards and organizational policies.
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for the entire shift.
- Comfortable working with heights of 20–30 feet regularly.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience (preferred).
- Previous material handling equipment experience (PIT) preferred.
- RF scanner and/or voice‑to‑pick experience highly preferred.
- Willingness to work overtime with little to no advance notice.
- Ability to follow direction and change priorities while working independently or as part of a team.
- Aptitude to work in a fast‑paced warehouse environment and meet hourly performance standards.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and rotate into various areas of the warehouse.
- Adhere to site safety regulations, wearing required PPE such as steel‑toed safety shoes and safety harnesses; accountable to Cardinal Health’s EHS as well as QRA policies.
- Apply acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks.
- Readily learn and apply new information and methods.
- Maintain appropriate licenses, training, and certifications.
- Handle routine assignments that require problem resolution.
- Operate within clearly defined SOPs and/or scientific methods.
- Adhere to all quality guidelines.
- Work under moderate supervision; output is regularly reviewed by work lead or supervisor.
- Refer complex or unusual problems to supervisor.
