DescriptionWarehouse Associate III
Position Summary: Nationwide Uniform (by Fechheimer) is hiring a Warehouse Associate III to perform advanced logistics and inventory tasks, multi-equipment operation, complex order handling, and error/root-cause resolution. This role emphasizes technical proficiency and accuracy at scale—without leadership, team lead, or supervisory duties.
Regular business hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. or as needed to meet business goals and objectives.
Primary responsibilities:
In this role you will be required to…
- Perform all Warehouse Associate I & II duties with expert-level accuracy, speed, and adherence to SOPs.
- Operate multiple PIT types (e.g., stand-up reach, order picker, sit-down forklift) and perform daily inspections, battery/charging care, and basic troubleshooting.
- Execute advanced cycle counting and inventory reconciliation; analyze pick/put-away errors and perform corrective WMS transactions per authorization.
- Resolve wave/release exceptions, short picks, backorders, and substitutions within system rules and customer requirements.
- Optimize packing and cartonization (right-size packaging, void fill standards, DIM weight awareness) to reduce damage and freight cost.
- Process returns including inspection, triage, disposition (restock/repack/rework/scrap) and documentation.
- Perform value-added services (e.g., re-labeling, size verification audits, set reconfiguration) in accordance with customer specs and quality standards.
- Maintain personal productivity/quality metrics (e.g., lines/hour, UPH, error rate) and participate in problem-solving for recurring defects (no people leadership).
- Support safety by identifying hazards, completing near-miss reports, and ensuring equipment and aisle standards are met.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with CSR/Planning/Receiving to resolve order/inventory issues while escalating policy decisions to supervisors as required.
Required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced proficiency with WMS/ERP transactions (adjustments, transfers, cycle count reconciliation, ASN/receiving).
- Expert operation of multiple PIT types; knowledge of load characteristics, stacking, and aisle width limitations
- Strong analytical skills for discrepancy/root-cause analysis and documentation
- In-depth understanding of apparel SKU structures, size scales, and configuration rules
- Working knowledge of lean/5S principles and damage-prevention best practices
- Ability to read freight documents (BOL, packing list) and follow carrier/service-level requirements.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3–5 years of warehouse/distribution experience (apparel or consumer goods preferred).
- Valid PIT certification required; experience across multiple equipment types.
- Demonstrated expertise with RF scanning and WMS/ERP transactions.
Essential Functions/Physical Demands:
- Extended periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Frequent lifting and carrying of 25–50 lbs.
- Use of ladders:
Occasional climbing of ladders up to 8 steps (~6.5 feet high) required for picking or stocking inventory - Positional:

Climbing, frequent balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. - Sensory:
