Assist the Costume Shop Supervisor in the daily operations of the Theatre and Film Costume Shop.

• Developing and drafting workable patterns for construction of designed costumes
• Construct and alter advanced and detailed costumes
• Oversee Costume Shop staff and other students working in the Costume Shop (in Costume Shop supervisor's absence)
• Assist Costume Shop supervisor in maintaining safe working environment and proper equipment usage
• Keep Costume Shop supervisor apprised of daily progress in the Costume Shop
• Keep Costume Shop supervisor apprised of needed materials and supplies
• Assist Costume Shop supervisor in keeping all shop machines and equipment in safe working condition

• Advanced sewing abilities that include extensive knowledge and experience of sewing machines, sergers, and hand sewing techniques
• Ability to develop and create/construct patters from design renderings
• Must have working in the Theatre and Film Costume Shop for at least four semesters (or equivalent experience)
