Assistant Teaching Professor – Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, OH.

College of Arts & Sciences. Full‑time, one‑year non‑renewable appointment beginning August 2026.

The primary responsibility is to teach four undergraduate courses per semester in core areas of philosophy and/or PPEL, including history of philosophy, history of political economy, and formal methods. The successful candidate will also teach introductory undergraduate philosophy courses (e.g., introduction to philosophy, introduction to ethics, applied ethics such as medical/health‑care ethics) and provide service at the department, college, or university level.

• Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Philosophy or a related discipline (e.g., Political Science, Economics); ABDs are eligible if the doctoral degree is completed by August 1, 2026. Experience teaching undergraduate courses in core areas of philosophy and/or PPEL as instructor of record or Graduate Teaching Assistant.

• Preferred Qualifications: Experience as instructor of record for philosophy courses such as introduction to logic, introduction to ethics, or history of philosophy; experience teaching a PPEL undergraduate class as instructor of record.
