Program Engineer Opportunity

Tier I and tier II automotive supplier is seeking a Program Engineer to work within a team of engineers, report to the Engineering Manager and work in the fast-paced, mass production manufacturing organization. The Program Engineer will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Facilitate and organize all program/product launch activities from cradle to grave at the site level
- Communicate with corporate launch engineers on the status of programs
- Responsible for quoting new business and determining manufacturability
- Oversee run offs and trial runs
- Track the status of pre-production orders
- Facilitate the launch team to complete customer-specific documentation, including the APQP process
- Complete quoting changes, contract review and engineering changes
- Lead program meetings
- Other program, product or project engineering tasks as assigned
- Complete additional tasks as assigned
Candidates must be able to communicate directly and effectively at all levels, be able to facilitate and organize meetings and teams, be self-motivated, take initiative on projects, work on multiple tasks and be hands on and flexible. Most important, candidates should be comfortable being the liaison between the customer and company. This position requires candidates to be on the manufacturing floor during launch activity and trial runs.

Requirements for the Program Engineer:
- A Bachelor's degree in a related technical field is desired, but not required
- Depending on the highest level of completed education, at least three years of experience in a similar cradle-to-grave program or launch management position
- Experience launching programs in a tier I or tier II automotive supplier environment
- The ability to read blueprints in AutoCAD
- Vendor and/or customer communication experience
- Experience overseeing timelines
- Experience quoting business
- Microsoft Office, specifically Excel experience
Skills preferred but NOT required:
- MS Project experience
- Supervision experience
Candidates are preferred to be local to the Bowling Green, Ohio area. The client is willing to consider regional candidates and can offer a competitive relocation package.
