Job Description & How to Apply Below

As a Maintenance & Reliability Engineer you will provide both strategic reliability leadership and hands‑on maintenance engineering support to improve equipment availability, reduce downtime, and optimize asset performance. You will partner with Operations, Maintenance, and cross‑functional teams to deliver sustainable and reliable production.

In this role, you will:
  • Conduct criticality screening and risk analysis to identify critical equipment and Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment.
  • Champion and implement asset strategies in alignment with equipment criticality and business needs.
  • Support development and execution of the 3‑year reliability improvement plan, including asset availability performance history and improvement goals related to equipment reliability.
  • Select the appropriate risk management strategy or alternative failure management strategy and develop/implement equipment maintenance strategies (EMS) for each piece of critical equipment and generic EMSs for BOP equipment.
  • Assist the PPM coordinator with reviews of existing plans for effectiveness and applicability based on the risk management strategy, alternative failure management strategy, vendor information, RCM tools, historical equipment reliability issues, and results of PPM; add, delete, and/or modify existing PPM to eliminate low‑value PPM on BOP equipment and effectively manage risk on critical equipment. Include PPM services as required on parts and spare equipment to maintain warehoused part/equipment quality during storage (e.g., shaft rotation, motor heater check).
  • Evaluate and implement available equipment condition monitoring techniques and new technology to improve productivity, effectiveness, and value of the equipment condition monitoring program.
  • Ensure documentation of PPM and corrective maintenance findings is properly recorded in CMMS for evaluation.
  • Routinely monitor asset reliability, maintenance data, PPM results, significant reliability events, RCA findings, maintenance histories, and production loss data.
  • Analyze production loss accounting data and cost data to develop and prioritize a list of reliability opportunities.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and RCM studies, utilizing reliability engineering tools such as Weibull and FMEA, for events that meet incident triggers; implement effective corrective actions/improvements.
  • Perform value engineering activities for projects, design, reliability/maintenance input, PMs, BOMs, equipment selection, criticality, etc.
  • Ensure new equipment is integrated into appropriate systems, tools, processes, and strategies prior to being put into service.
  • Perform periodic gap assessments between the asset reliability plan, equipment maintenance strategies, and PPM plans to identify gaps versus current reliability performance, cost, and asset availability; identify and implement corrective actions/improvements to eliminate low‑value PPM or other work while effectively managing risk in terms of mechanical integrity, EHS, production, and maintenance cost.
  • Implement periodic plant equipment/facility audits to proactively monitor plant condition and prevent unplanned deterioration of assets.
  • Assist the PPM coordinator to optimize spare parts/equipment inventory.
  • Champion the use of the Management of Change process for changes, modifications, deletions to equipment, materials, parts, consumables and related operating discipline.
  • Provide technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and evaluate whether equipment is designed to meet its intended or existing service conditions.
  • For equipment that is critical for the process, ensure that work requests include engineering input on repair details such as clearances, tolerances, materials of construction, welding procedures, etc.
  • Ensure repairs, repair techniques, and equipment‑specific training are made available and documented.
  • Support development of maintenance and operating procedures (e.g., proper steps for starting/stopping a pump).
  • Serve as a technical resource to planners and crafts as needed to ensure standards are followed.
  • During development of turnaround work, provide input on development of work orders,…
