Starting rates are determined by the City based on qualifications and experience. Candidates with prior experience as an emergency dispatcher may be eligible for a rate higher than the starting rate.
The City of Bowling Green’s Police Division is hiring a full-time Dispatcher.
Summary:
This hourly position is responsible for serving as a primary point of contact for citizens requiring police and/or other City services and providing Deputy Clerk of Court services. For a detailed job description, visit (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below)./AgOrN
Requires:
At least a high school diploma or equivalent; LEADS certification (or must obtain after hire); six (6) months to one (1) year of relevant experience; or any combination of education, training and work experience which provides the required skill sets to perform the essential functions of the job.
Pay & Benefits:
As this position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement, rates are determined during negotiations and are available for review at /Gdcl7
Other pay opportunities include: training incentives (up to $1.56/hour over two years), shift differentials ($0.50/hour for 2 nd and 3 rd shifts, $0.50/hour for weekends) and clothing allowance of $625 per year.
