3rd Shift CNC Machinist – Precision Parts Specialist

Job Description Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating machine tools like lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines to produce precision parts.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications, select appropriate tools and parameters, and monitor machine operation to ensure quality and productivity.
• Quality control is performed by using precision measuring tools.
• Routine maintenance and minor repairs are also part of the role.
• Document processes and production data, maintain a clean and safe work area, and collaborate with engineers to optimize manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot production issues.
• Demonstrate the ability to run master’s and/or run rabbits.
• Reset errors and perform machine offsets.

• High school diploma or equivalent, with formal training in machining being preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment is important, with proficiency in operating various machine tools, including CNC machines.

• A basic understanding of machining principles and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Ability to problem‑solve and communicate effectively, with attention to detail and adherence to safety regulations.

• Demonstrate correct gaging techniques and perform all quality verifications within the cell/line to the required standard.
• Demonstrate the ability to replace tool bars and change filters.
• Demonstrate the ability to restart equipment after a power down.
• Demonstrate the ability to program tool offsets.
