3rd Shift Machine Operator

A Production Machine Operator is a skilled professional responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery to manufacture precision parts and components according to strict specifications. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities:setting up and operating machine tools like lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines to produce precision parts.

Interpret technical drawings and specifications, select appropriate tools and parameters, and monitor machine operation to ensure quality and productivity.

Quality control is performed by using precision measuring tools.

Routine maintenance and minor repairs are also part of the role.

Document processes and production data, maintain a clean and safe work area, and collaborate with engineers to optimize manufacturing.

Troubleshoot production issues.

Demonstrate the ability to run master’s and/or run rabbits

Reset errors and perform machine offsets

Requirements:high school diploma or equivalent, with formal training in machining being preferred.

Qualifications:

Excellent Verbal and written communication skills

Relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment is important, and proficiency in operating various machine tools, including CNC machines

Computer skillsA basic understanding of machining principles, the ability to interpret technical drawings.

Ability to problem-solve and communication skills, attention to detail, and adherence to safety regulations.

Desirable:

Demonstrate correct gaging techniques and perform all quality verifications within the cell/line to the required standard.

Demonstrate the ability to replace tool bars.

Demonstrate the ability to change filters.

Demonstrate the ability to restart equipment after power down.

Demonstrate the ability to change tool bars.

Demonstrate the ability to program tool offsets.
