Weld Programmer

Regular Full Time Technical Bowling Green, OH, US

Salary Range: $21.00 To $25.00 Hourly

Base pay starting at $21.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience ($3.00 per hour shift premium if working off-shift)

Shift: This opening is for a 1st or 3rd shift position, Training will take place on 1st shift . Once training is complete the employee will move to 3rd shift and receive the shift premium of $3.00/hour

Summary: Write, edit, and troubleshoot programs for assigned robotic welding machinery, using computer software for programming and other department support. Ensure weldments meet Rosenboom weld specification S903DZ

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Write robotic weld programs that meet the quality specifications of customers and Rosenboom while maintaining minimum weld cycle time.
  • Inspect, measure, and/or test completed weldments and supporting materials, to ensure conformance to specifications, using measuring and testing devices.
  • Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as gas metal arc welding and gas tungsten arc welding equipment.
  • Productive member of his/her workgroup and adheres to all Rosenboom polices, including safety requirements/procedures especially working with robotic equipment, to ensure a safe working environment for all Rosenboom employees.
  • Work in a production setting to facilitate the needs of Rosenboom’s production goals.
  • Maintain preventive maintenance (PM) program for all weld related equipment. Maintain a 5S program for equipment and tools in the Weld Support Department.

Specific training/certification:

  • Relative experience and/or training required
  • Holds or has the ability to obtain hand weld and robotic welding RMT specific certifications

Skills:

  • Interpret of mechanical drawings, and blue prints
  • Working knowledge of fixturing and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.)

Requirements:

  • minimum of 6 months welding experience
