Field/Service Technician, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer
About the Role
Field-based service and maintenance technician for Trane Technologies customers in a defined market, including Healthcare, Process Manufacturing Facilities, Education Institutions, and Office Complexes.
Responsibilities- Coordinate with team leader/project manager and customer to understand on-site installation and repair requirements, forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work.
- Represent the company as the direct customer contact, ensuring satisfaction by diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems on the customer’s location.
- Use cutting-edge software and technology, along with hand tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units.
- Maintain flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required, including occasional overnight stays.
- Enforce safety to the highest standards and maintain security/accountability of company assets by recording use, wear, and conditions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; typically 5+ years of HVAC experience.
- Technical School or formal training preferred.
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and proficiency with handheld computers (e.g., smartphone, iPad).
- Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations.
- EPA Certification.
Hourly base pay range: $21.89 – $40.34. Compensation is determined by seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation. Incentive and commission: none.
