Position Title: Data Analytics and Change Management Intern

Location: Statewide within South Dakota;
Brookings, Pierre, Rapid City, or Sioux Falls.
Minimum Salary: $22.82 per hour
Eligibility- Applicant must be a current part‑time or full‑time student (minimum of 6 credit hours) in the upcoming semester or in the immediately preceding semester.
The Bureau of Human Resources and Administration is seeking an intern to work on preparation for the HRIS system upgrade for Payroll and Workforce Management (WFM), standardization, process improvements for this and change management effort planning. This position will include documentation of business processes, standard operating procedures, and process flow maps. There will be some data analytics and other projects assigned in a variety of HR functions.
The intern should have a strong understanding of business process documentation along with change management tools and theories. Data analytics and understanding of data validation would be a plus. The intern should be able to work independently and within a team environment.
QualificationsApplicant must be enrolled as a part‑time or full‑time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply. By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program.
All students are encouraged to apply, but preference may be given to applicants with a standing of junior/senior, South Dakota residents, and students of South Dakota institutions.
