Academic Counselor – Student Activities Coordinator
The Academic Counselor – Student Activities Coordinator provides comprehensive academic advising while developing and leading student engagement opportunities that support holistic development and cultural identity. This dual‑role position bridges academic success with meaningful student life experiences by fostering a vibrant, culturally grounded campus community rooted in Lakota values.
Requirements- Provide academic advising and educational planning for students.
- Assist students with course selection, registration, and degree audits.
- Support students in tracking academic performance and provide early intervention.
- Refer students to appropriate academic, cultural, and wellness support services.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee student events, clubs, and leadership programs.
- Foster student engagement through cultural, wellness, and recreational programming.
- Support student government and peer leadership development.
- Coordinate with faculty, student services, and administration to enhance student engagement.
- Assist with planning and executing orientation and other campus traditions.
- Track student involvement and contribute to program evaluations.
